About Us

Serving your family since the summer of 1942! Howard's Furniture Company was founded by the late William Howard Ellenburg in 1942. The first store was opened on Marietta Street in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. When Georgia Tech expanded their campus in 1961, the store moved to their current location in Smyrna, Georgia. The famous neon sign followed them and has remained an important landmark in the greater Atlanta area. After his passing, the store was run by his son, Kells Kaye Ellenburg, until his death in 2011. It still remains family owned and operated.
